Task 10: Commenting on another blog

I went on my teacher's (Sharon McGregor) blog and I left a comment saying " The last movie I watched was Only Yesterday which is a 1991 Japanese animated film. It's a very lovely movie :)".

Task 9: Changing the arrangement of my blog

I changed the layout of my blog but my theme can't move the search section, header, subscription, page list (top), ads, page body, and footer.  I moved the blog archive and labels from the sidebar (bottom). For the sidebar (bottom) section, I added 2 gadgets which are translate and logo.

Task 8: Changing the look of my blog

I chose this theme because I like the colour blue. It has a background of the ocean. I like how the title is cursive writing. It's a simple theme.

Task 7: Inserting images

Task 5: How libraries are using social media

A library blog:  https://www.sl.nsw.gov.au/blogs  which posts about a lot of different things like top 11 summer reads for kids, using artificial intelligence to describe our collections, photographs from the 1965 Freedom Ride, Koori Mail cartoons on display, The Dictionary of Sydney, and many more. A library YouTube page:  https://www.youtube.com/user/cityofsydney  are videos about events, projects, updates and reminders. A library Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/NthSydCouncil  posts events, project updates, and reminders/announcements. A library Twitter page:  https://twitter.com/WaverleyCouncil  posts about events, project updates, and reminders/announcements. A library Instagram page:  https://www.instagram.com/burwoodlibrary/  posts about books to read, reminders, events, and nature.

Task 4: What is library 2.0?

To me, library 2.0 is a library that has over time become more developed and advanced with technology. It can still keep it's resources through paper but also giving it the chance for people to use it digitally, since everyone uses the internet. Making sure it's being kept up to date with the current world. Two links that provide an explanation of Library 2.0 are: http://www.webology.org/2006/v3n2/a25.html   and  https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0961000613477122 .

Task 3: Social media considerations/issues

Three types of issues that can happen with social media tools: P eople may or may not comment negative things as cyberbullying still happens online, so that can affect people by bringing their mood down. The social media tools sometimes or once in a while might not work for a few hours because of technological issues. One more issue could be privacy because you may want to create a blog for yourself to write diaries entries or random thoughts. If you don't change the settings for it to be a private blog then everyone will see your posts.

Task 2: What are social media tools?

Five different types of social media tools and applications are: Tik Tok ( https://www.tiktok.com/ ): An app where you share and post videos of anything random whether it's lip syncing to a song, reenacting a scene from a movie or a type of audio or dancing to choreography of songs There are also challenges you can do and you add in the hashtag (example, #smallgestures and #fashionasmr) The videos can be 15 or 60 seconds long and you can add special effects and filters Yo u can follow random people where you can like their videos and comment on them Instagram ( https://www.instagram.com/ ): An app where you share and post videos and images You can follow people while liking their images and commenting on it You can post up to 10 images and add filters and you can post videos that are 60 seconds long You can post images and videos on Instagram Stories and they stay there for 24 hours and then disappear  You can send direct messages to each other Twitter ( https:...

Task 1: What is social media?

Social media is websites and applications for computers, phones and tablets that post images (funny and sad), gifs, videos, music, information about news around the world and any other random information. You can send messages to each other and share things you like with them.
